Google has provided hints of launching an entertainment device of some sort earlier too. With the recent FCC filing of the Company, the predictions by many market players have got more support and evidence. The document clearly shows what Google has veiled, announcing in black and white that the company is trying his hands in hardware and is developing some sort of ‘entertainment device’.
According to the details, testing of the device will include the functional verification of all subsystems like radio, WiFi, Bluetooth. Users will connect the device to the WiFi network of their home and will use Bluetooth to connect this device to other home electronic devices. This kind of testing will cross check all the relevant engineering issues and the dependability of networks.
The equipment uses a standard WiFi-Bluetooth module of testing, and the designed testing will not check the radio frequencies and other attributes, rather it is directed at stability and operational efficiency of the home WiFi network and the normal working of the device.
There are another signs which revealed Google’s intentions of stepping into hardware like the glance which Google gave to developers in the Google I/O conference about an Android at home device playing music and of course that $12.5 billion deal to purchase mobility of Motorola which is about to close very soon.
