5 Reasons You Should Switch to Call Center Software

September 14, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - cell phone

Effective communication with clients and leads is more important than it has ever been in business. Unfortunately, facilitating that communication has become increasingly complex and expensive, and this
is why so many companies worldwide are transitioning to a hosted call center.

Virtual call centers are a sophisticated modern solution that removes the burden of supporting an in-house system. So with that in mind, let us consider the top five reasons your business should switch to
call center software

1. Fast, Simple and Affordable

In order to employ a hosted solution, all a business needs is a computer and a high-speed Internet connection. Physical solutions require weeks to design and build, and they’re not usually appropriate
for small businesses. Using a virtual call center, a sole proprietorship can have call center that is just as sophisticated as those used by big corporations are, and as they grow, the system can grow with them without great additional costs.

2. Managed Service

In order to appreciate the value of a hosted solution fully, we must look beyond the immediate costs. For a conventional system, total cost of ownership long-term includes maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment and infrastructure. These are substantial expenses, and large call systems often require large dedicated teams of IT professionals. With a managed service, maintenance and troubleshooting takes place behind the scenes, and the cost is already included in the rate of the subscription.

3. Scalable

Scalability is a concept that we’ve alluded to in the first two reasons, but it is an extremely important idea that deserves individual attention. The great difficulty facing the modern call center is growth. If growth outpaces center resources, then the system fails. So as a modern business, we must monitor growth, project it and account for it before it happens. The benefit of a hosted call center is that it scales on demand at a moment’s notice. This saves a substantial amount of money: The business does not
have to scale in advance, and it never needs to purchase additional equipment.

4. Leading-edge Technology

Technology advances rapidly, so one of the other issues with a conventional call center solution is that the infrastructure ages so quickly. Replacing outdated equipment as soon as possible isn’t a viable alternative because it’s simply not cost-effective. It is viable, however, for the provider of a virtual call center because every piece of equipment is part of a greater system that services a great many companies. In the modern business environment, a hosted solution is the only practical way to maintain a system that only uses the latest technology.

5. Flexible Deployment

For the business achieving a call center solution from scratch, the flexible deployment of a hosted solution offers numerous advantages. However, it also helps those businesses that already have an on-
premise solution. With a pre-established system, expanding means integration, and integration can be extremely expensive. However, a hosted solution can integrate seamlessly, and use a hybrid approach
so that it maximizes the production of the legacy aspects of the system.

Conclusion

Modern call center software is reshaping the way we do business. The change is fast and furious, and if you’re not careful, it will leave your business behind. A hosted solution ensures that your business not
only survives the change but that it flourishes now and in the future.

HTC Salsa and ChaCha Make Pre-order Debut on Amazon

May 02, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - cell phone, gadget

The HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha, AKA the HTC Facebook phones, are now available to pre-order from Amazon. The phones were first spotted at MWC 2011 and have been causing a stir ever since, the retail giant is the first to offer the phones and is also the first to reveal its official release date – the 26th June 2011.

The HTC Salsa will cost £320 and come equipped with a larger 3.4 inch touch screen and a larger battery than the ChaCha which will be cheaper at £250. The ChaCha is a smaller phone with a 2.6 inch screen with a traditional QWERTY keyboard similar to a Blackberry handset.

Both come with a Facebook button and social networking features built into the phones core software, they both run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 600MHz Qualcomm processor – so it won’t be the quickest smartphone on the block and could be more of a novelty rather than a threat to others on the market.

The handsets will come with dual cameras, the rear one capable of high quality photos and video via a 5MP sensor and the front one ideal for video calls and use on Skype or dare we say it a future version of Facebook chat – it’s the logical step if you ask us.

Best Deals on the Latest Electronic Gadgets

December 09, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - cell phone, gadget, Review

Unless you’re one of those survivalist types who lives out without electricity or running water out in the woods in a log cabin you constructed by hand (in which case you wouldn’t be reading this anyway), I’m willing to bet that you like all the amazing advances in consumer electronics we see popping up year after year. In fact, the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is one of the biggest, most popular international conferences around, and is the perfect showcase for all the latest electronic gadgets. The question is, where’s the best place to buy all the cool toys on display at the CES and other venues?

If you answered “online retailers”, then give yourself a couple of bonus points. Of course everyone should know by now that the easiest way to find the best deals on the latest electronic gadgets is to do your shopping on the Internet. That’s because physical stores like Best Buy or Sharper Image simply do not have the floor space or warehouse space to stock every gadget or device that customers might want. They base their inventory choices on the input of professional buyers and industry trends, which allows them to cater to the most basic needs. But if you’re after the latest electronic gadgets like affordable night vision goggles, a mini USB monitor, or a wristwatch with the ability to record .avi video files and store the footage on a removable memory card, then you’re going to have to shop elsewhere!

Fortunately, there are thousands of websites worldwide that specialize in bringing the latest electronic gadgets to people like you and me. I’m not going to recommend a particular site for your gadget purchases, because it all depends on what you need. The best way to go about finding the device you long for is to plug some keywords into your favorite search engine and see what kind of results come up. From there, you can figure out what kinds of products are on the market and how much you want to spend on your new toy (bearing in mind that quality plays a major role in a product’s retail price). Remember to shop around to find the best deals before you part with your hard-earned money.

Actually, just browsing through all the latest electronic gadgets without buying anything can still be fun. After all, how likely is it that a mall store would carry a pair of sandals with tiny LED headlights strapped to them to illuminate your way while walking in the dark? Or a knit cap/beanie with built-in headphones? Or a device charger that you wear on your wrist? These are things you’ll only find online!

If you can’t help purchasing the latest electronic gadgets that hit the market every year or even if you simply love to browse through all the new products available, then do yourself a favor and shop online. You’ll find the best deals on the trendiest tech toys without ever having to leave your state-of-the-art vibrating gaming chair with integrated speakers and USB ports!

Must-Have LG Cell Phone Accessories

December 08, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - cell phone

It seems that everyone wants a smartphone these days, including me. What’s not to love about being able to browse the Internet, check and send e-mail, and work on MS Office documents and spreadsheets on your handset? The only question becomes which smartphone is the best one to get. I think it all comes down to a matter of taste, so I’m not here to debate the merits of the iPhone over a Blackberry, or vice versa. Personally, I went with an EnV Touch because of the price, and am currently looking for LG cell phone accessories to go with it.

One thing I absolutely love about my EnV Touch is the camera. This device features a 3.2 megapixel camera/video recorder that provides good quality snapshots. I can’t believe how other phones don’t even bother putting in a decent on-board camera, especially since more and more people use their devices to take pics that will then be uploaded to Facebook, blogs, and Flickr. But one problem with taking so many pictures is that the files eat up a lot of storage space, so one of the first LG cell phone accessories I have to buy is a MicroSD expansion card. Fortunately, I can get a 16GB card that should provide plenty of storage for my photos and videos.

Of course, there’s no point in having a smartphone if I don’t take advantage of the Internet browser to check out news headlines sports scores, social networking sites, and YouTube. In fact, I probably do more surfing from my handset than from my computer these days! This really drains the battery, though, so I’ll need to grab a car charger and maybe even a backup battery when I go shopping for LG cell phone accessories. There’s nothing worse than worrying about not having enough juice left to make an important call or send a critical email, so an extra charger is a must.

Other LG cell phone accessories I want to look into include a case or some kind of protective cover, an antenna booster, a Bluetooth headset, and a hands-free car kit. The cover will obviously protect my handset from scratches and other dings that are likely to come about with daily use, while the antenna booster will help me get a signal even if I happen to travel off the beaten path. The Bluetooth headset and hands-free car kit will allow me to make and take calls in a safe manner while driving, which is important for me because I have such a long commute to and from work.

It’s definitely going to cost some bucks to get all the LG cell phone accessories I want, but as I said, these extras are must-haves for the way I use my device. Hopefully I can find some sales or discounts on this stuff!

Toshiba Folio 100 Review

October 07, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - cell phone, Toshiba

Tablets have started becoming extremely popular all of a sudden, after the release of the Apple iPad. Many Global Electronic Manufacturers are taking advantage of this situation by releasing tablets of their own. Toshiba being no exception has also released a tablet named the Toshiba Folio 100.

While all the other tablets in the market at the moment are offering pretty much the same features, Toshiba has decided to tread a slightly different path to its rivals. Instead of going with Intel or Qualcomm, Toshiba has chosen Nvidia’s Tegra 2 to take the centre stage in the Folio 100.

There was a bit of information that was derivable about the Folio 100, from Toshiba’s presentation at the IFA show held in Berlin. Firstly, with the introduction of the Nvidia Tegra, the Folio has got what it takes to handle HD video much better than any other tablet in the market at the moment. Its 10.1 inch multi touch screen also boasts an impressive 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution. Secondly, there will be 16GB of internal memory, along with a full sized SD card reader slot, supporting cards up to 32 GB. The other standard features such as support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G are present along with a 1.3 Mega Pixel Webcam. Lastly, it will run on the Android 2.2.

One of the few down sides to the Toshiba Folio 100 is the narrow viewing angle compared to other tablets. The other one being the fact the Apps for Android does not support high resolution as of yet. The second issue is expected to be resolved soon after its release, but it does not look like it will be the same case with the first one.

Despite its flaws, the Toshiba Folio 100 looks like it has the potential to become the next iPad Killer. How it will do against its rivals? We’ll just have to wait and see.
